Yep, that’s Momo, the lady of the house. Well, her name is Moon Jamaluddin. Momo is a combination of Moon and Monica, her sister in crime. Momo also means "mine" in Bengali.
Moon started Momo Catering back in 2009 as a side business to maintain sanity in her corporate life in the oil and gas industry. A BBA in Finance and Accounting, and many years of experience in project management gave her a solid framework to run a business. Working at restaurants and catering companies in Houston to make her way through college, Moon found a passion for hospitality, food and the fuel to drive her own career. An artist behind the apron, she brings simplicity to up and coming trends and décor. While she didn’t attend culinary school, she more than makes up for any lack of technical knowledge with an intimate familiarity of cultural kitchen traditions and a lifetime experience of eating.
In July 2012 she decided to leave the corporate world to delve full force into her lifelong dream, and she hasn’t looked back since.

Claire Rinaldi started early. She was caught red handed having a food affair at the age of five. Preparing special hors d’oeuvres for her family each night, her parents supported her enthusiasm from day one. Growing up and working for a local high-end restaurant, her parents were by no means surprised when she decided to attend culinary school.
Graduating from the esteemed Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY, she was able to cultivate her passion not only through the intensive curriculum, but by drawing from the international and varied experiences of her classmates. Her skills grew from working for local catering companies and the weekly experiential trips to New York City. Her career took her from The Hotel Hershey (Hershey, PA) to The Greenbrier Hotel (White Sulphur Springs, WV) to The Ritz Carlton Huntington Hotel and Spa (Pasadena, CA) before bringing her to Events by Momo here in Houston, Texas.
At Events by Momo, she is highly valued as the talented chef that she is; her glowing energy and refined skills only add to the charm. The core values and focus of this company matches those of her own; fueling her creative, competitive and eco-conscious nature to confidently tackle the everyday challenge of executing delicious food.
